Become a Citizen Forester
Workshops are held on Saturday afternoons from 1-5 PM during the Fall months of September and October. Workshops will be held at several different locations around the city of Chattanooga and in the surrounding region. Currently, each workshop covers the same material, so please only sign up for one.
Sign ups will begin on July 14 and will be offered on a first come first serve basis. The $25 course fee secures your spot in the class. See below for a schedule of dates, times, and locations for Citizen Forester workshops.
When and Where
To sign up for a workshop, click a link below for the date, time, and place you wish to attend.
- September 10, 2011. 12-4 PM. Reflection Riding/Chattanooga Nature Center.
- September 17, 2011. 1-5 PM. Rock City.
- September 24, 2011. 1-5PM. The Bethlehem Center. *
- October 1, 2011. 1-5 PM. Bonny Oaks Agriculture Extension Office.
- October 8, 2011. 1-5 PM. green|spaces.
- October 15, 2011. 2-6 PM. Crabtree Farms.
- October 22, 2011. 1-5 PM. Greenway Farms.
- October 29, 2011. 1-5 PM. The Barn Nursery.
* Free workshop requiring a paper application available onsite at the Bethlehem Center.
Costs
$25. This cost covers a Citizen Forester T-shirt, tree planting resources, a voucher for two free trees at a $100 value, and much other unique Citizen Forester swag.
